Great Britain’s Alistair Brownlee returned to the top of the World Triathlon London podium for the first time since scoring Olympic gold in Hyde Park in 2012. Spain’s Fernando Alarza made his way on the World Triathlon Series podium for the first, while France’s Vincent Luis took bronze in the men’s race.  In the women’s race, the US swept the podium for the second time this season with top performer Gwen Jorgensen taking home her 10th consecutive title ahead of compatriots Katie Zaferes and Sarah True. IRONMAN have announced that the 2017 IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship triathlon will be held in the United States. Three cities, all of which currently host IRONMAN® or IRONMAN® 70.3® races, have been named as the finalists in the selection process – Chattanooga (Tennessee), Lake Placid (New York) and St. George (Utah). In addition, the 2017 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship will be a two-day event – with the professional women and age group women racing on one day and the professional men and age group men racing on the other.
